Musickal Meditations - Channeling The Empress

Earlier this month I shared a collaborative project I’ve been working on with my partner Tim and my dad, Don, combining tarot and meditation. The purpose of the series is to bring listeners into alignment with the Major Arcana card they have selected to work with. Today we’re pleased to share our third track, a musical embodiment of The Empress.

While you may opt to simply enjoy the meditation on its own, we have also provided some suggestions should you want to incorporate it into a fuller ritual. We do hope you enjoy the sounds! Meditation Package - The Empress in F Sharp

Background: The purpose of these meditations is to allow you space to connect with the 22 Major Arcana, which are, in many ways, separated aspects of ourselves. Each element of this project has been carefully considered, from the note selection to the length of the track to the written piece which accompanies it. The intention is to supply the user of the track with the musical essence of the Major Arcana in question to help them get in touch with their own inner archetype of that nature. We envision that one may use this as part of a regular meditative practice, to open up a card reading session, before or during ritual, or as a way to simply connect more with their deck.

Description for The Empress: The Empress is the archetypal and generative life force that exists within us and the universe as a whole. This is the aspect of ourselves and nature that finds joy in the act of creation and thus loves its offspring. The Empress works with the same material that the High Priestess veils to bring all manner of interior workings into form. She is a symbol of synthesis - a meeting point where thought and matter become one. Regardless of what is being produced, The Empress seeks to express that which is within and in doing so, creates a garden filled with beautiful, living, treasure. This meditation aims to connect you with your own inner garden, waiting to be cultivated.

Before listening to the meditation music, you may opt to create a ritual-like space using some of the suggestions below. Of course, these are just ideas - feel free to adapt to your liking!
